Reviews
The Apartment was very modern and stylish and located only about 5 minutes by foot from the sea. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We appreciated that there was a high quality umbrella to take to the beach.
When you are in need of the reception staff, please consider that the italian clock is ticking differently. When e.g. they open at 9am it means that staff is arriving few minutes later and must then first place there hand bags and get the computer system ready. The door of the fridge wasn't working properly, it needed to be shut with a lot of strengh. The receptionist was very grateful for the information and promised to take care of it.
Great location. Modern rooms/apartments comfortably furnished with great AC. No toilet for the pool or general complex however, only toilets are in-room. Check-in reception does not open until 17:00pm so bare this in mind for your arrival. As first time stayers unfamiliar to the local area, I was desperate to go to the toilet after completing the drive from Cagliari but couldn’t find anywhere to go when we arrived in the afternoon! The next day, we ventured to the beach and found both beach toilets and the two local beach restaurants. When you’re desperate however, you don’t have time to familiarise yourself with the local area and nearest toilets! I had to find a bush embarrassingly. We had great weather at the end of May, the average temperature was around 24 but the humidity was so high it felt as hot as carribean 30s that I’m accustom to! I would highly recommend visiting just before peak season begins. It’s an easier experience based on other reviews & info, and just as enjoyable of a stay. The best beach is free to access out of peak, parking is constantly available, most restaurants can accommodate a reservation the same day if not the day after and the apartments are fairly quiet without being empty. Watch out for potholes and badly maintained roads! This goes for the whole of Sardinia. We went through a tyre at only 25km/h on the road the main road that the exit and entrance to the apartments leads onto, subsequently damaging our rental car rather frustratingly on the first night. Get something more sturdy than a Fiat 500 is my advice! I’ve rated the service three star. The staff are perfectly fine and friendly! You just don’t tend to deal with anyone besides at check-in & check-out. Replacement towels for your room are an extra €10 and you do not get a change besides the single spare set that come with the room at check-in. Don’t leave your clothes hanger too close to the edge of your patio if you are on the bottom floor as the garden sprinklers reach past the edge of the grass! We had to replace a set of towels for this reason without no prior warning or info but luckily reception waved the fee after I explained the sprinkler had ruined them. There were a few families in the complex during our stay but the kids were well-behaved and tolerable. I could imagine if you got unlucky with families that lack self-awareness and manners for others, or perhaps during the busiest times of peak season that the poolside tranquillity could be fairly easily destroyed. But that’s the same anywhere that isn’t adults only. The apartments are in an absolutely lovely part of Sardinia at a brilliantly remote location. You’re only a 5 minute walk away from the best beach the town and island has to offer. It’s a relatively short drive to Alghero (approx. 1 hour or less each way). We will definitely be back and I had a wonderful time celebrating my 30th Birthday! The pool rules say no drinks but it’s incredibly relaxed and nobody police’s this fortunately, at least not out of season. There is a lifeguard present everyday in the morning and evening. We purchased eco-friendly cups from the local supermarket, only a 5min drive away and decanted wine and aperol into those to allow us a drink poolside to avoid glass etc. My warning to future stayers would only be to be prepared to want to go on holiday again once you arrive home as it was a most enjoyable experience, one that gives you the holiday bug! We were the only English couple there during our stay, which was welcome on our part. I would recommend staying a full week at least.
What a wonderful accommodation! Directly located at the incredible La Pelosa beach. Very clean, well-kept location. The resort has a beautiful pool, only a 5 minutes walk away from the beach. Therefore no need to organize tickets for Pelosa and lying on the crowded beach.
Very competent and nice service!
READ BEFORE BOOKING: This is NOT a resort or "hotel" at all, they are empty container rental apartments for long term LIVE IN stays. (Which it says) so don't be fooled by the luxurious photos. The bedding was the worst part, it was cheap with an itchy jute material single sheet for a blanket. Like really? Then you must check in before 1:00pm or come back at 5:00pm-7:00pm.. that's a first for me and really doesn't make sense at all. Then you need to pay a 80€ cleaning fee and a 200€ deposit. Are you serious! 80€ cleaning fee per night! ? Pay me 80€ and I'll clean it each day myself.
Cle
There's no restaurant or bar/ lounge area, no amenities other than the pool only ( which was crowded with kids ) The room has no mini bar or anything special, like welcome bottle water. This place was so beyond overpriced 400€ PER NIGHT! That's the price of nearly a 5-star amazing resort / hotels in Sardinia. You literally get a box apartment with a kitchen and bathroom and nothing more, with horrible bedding. Don't waste your money and go to an ACTUAL hotel or resort for that price. You'll have a much better experience.
Glad to have booked this in advance! This place was a gem! Here's the breakdown of my ratings:
Location = 5 stars!!! The location is perfect! The famous La Pelosa beach is within 5 minutes walking distance.
Rooms = 3 stars!!! It's not a hotel rather a residential accommodation. Ideal for stays longer than a week as you'd need to cook (breakfast at least), do groceries and wash your towels (they charge extra if you want them replaced). It looks bigger on photos, when in reality, it's a tight space for adults with teenagers. The boys slept in sofabeds which was squeaking everytime they tossed and turned.🙈
Also, perhaps it's an idea to add more closet space -- mount them on the walls or so.
Service = 5 stars!!! Saved the best for last 😊 ---> Shoutout to Deborah for her warm and kind hospitality! I didn't get the name of the other lady with long brunette hair who assisted her with my special request/s. They went above and beyond and for that I'm truly grateful. Arranging a simple surprise for my husband's birthday was quite a challenge as we were always together. Thankfully, Deborah made it happen, take note: on a Sunday! Big thanks again, ladies! You've made this vacation extra special for our family! 🤗
MY recommendation is stay elsewhere as bedding is worst I have encountered in any hotel, bnb or resort, but here are the positives and negatives.
The positives are the location to the beach and parking. Also a nice pool, …
The location is superb, close to the beach. Everything seems new, and the design is very nice.
The staff is very nice and helpful. …
We had a nice stay, but service could be way better. No blankets, bedding was pretty old. Poor kitchen utensils. .The worth part for me, on top of booking cost you have to pay electric bill daily and throw all rubbish , do recycling
